$3,000 Worth of Koi Stolen From Backyard Pond

The following information was provided by the Salisbury Township Police Department.

are investigating a report of 17 multi-colored koi and goldfish missing from a Salisbury resident's backyard pond on the east side earlier this month.

The fish, estimated to be worth about $3,170, may have been taken sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb. 14, police said. The fish were each about one to 2 feet long and weighed about 15- to 20 pounds each, police said.

Some of the fish included a bright orange koi with black scales, a white koi with black scales, a light orange butterfly koi with long wavy fins, three blue Shubunkin goldfish and eight Sarassa goldfish, police said.
