UPDATE: I-78 East Clear After Fatal Crash in N.J.
Traffic was backed up for miles on Interstate 78 east from New Jersey into Pennsylvania following a fatal accident early Friday.
A traffic backup reported to be as long as 10 miles has cleared following a fatal crash on I-78 eastbound in New Jersey early Friday.
The accident caused a major mess extending from Greenwich Township, N.J., across the Delaware River into Pennsylvania.
A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in the crash, according to an Express-Times report. The woman was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill.
