Office Depot Donates 200 Sackpacks to Salisbury Schools

Salisbury school officials were surprised to be awarded the free school supplies and meet NASCAR driver Tony Stewart at the Office Depot Foundation event.

 

Salisbury Township School District will be getting 200 new sackpacks for free from the Office Depot Foundation.

The zippered nylon pouches will be given to students in need, said Randy Ziegenfuss, assistant superintendent for teaching and learning.

Ziegenfuss accepted the donaton on behalf of the district and got to meet NASCAR driver Tony Stewart at a recent appearance promoting the foundation's National Backpack Program at the Office Depot in South Whitehall.

Ziegenfuss said the district was surprised but pleased by the donation from the foundation.
