Red Cross Holds CPR Training, Blood Drive This Weekend

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive and free Citizen CPR training Saturday at the Lehigh Valley Mall.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive and free Citizen CPR training at the Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall, on Saturday, March 10.

Red Cross Blood Drive – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., lower level by Macy’s.

Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or visit redcrossblood.org to make your appointment for March 10. Walk-ins are welcome. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in Pennsylvania), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to give blood. Positive identification is required at the time of donation.

Citizen CPR Training – 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., Promo Court, lower level.

Red Cross instructors will teach Citizen CPR classes, a hands-only CPR involving no mouth-to-mouth contact. The 30-minute training, sponsored by Air Products, is limited to 15 people per class. Participants should wear comfortable clothing to kneel on the floor and practice chest compressions on a mannequin. Call 610-865-4400, ext. 247 to reserve your place; walk-ins are welcome.
