Salisbury School Board Approves New Hires, Retirements
Two German teachers and a Spanish teacher are among the new hires in Salisbury Township School District in the 2012-2013 school year.
The Salisbury Township School Board approved the following new hires and resignations due to retirement at a special meeting Aug. 8.
New hires:
- Krista Spradlin, of Macungie, as a full-time German teacher at Salisbury High School, at a salary of $62,764.
- Karen McGuinnes, of Emmaus, as a part-time German teacher at Salisbury Middle School, at a salary of $27,216.
- Eden Aldan, of Allentown, as a part-time Spanish teacher at Salisbury Middle School, at a salary of $25,694.
- Rachael Legath, of Allentown, as an emotional support interventionist at Salisbury High School, at a salary of $40,775.
- Robin Burns, of Coopersburg, as a librarian at Salisbury High School, at a salary of $56,163.
- Michael Martrich, of Emmaus, as a full-time longterm substitute English teacher at Salisbury High School for the 2012-2013 school term, at a salary of $57,950.
- Lisa Moyer, of Alburtis, as a part-time longterm English Language Learner substitute teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school term, at a salary of $28,244.09.
- Robin Belzner, of Allentown, as a part-time accounts payable bookkeeper at the Administrative Building, at $17.02 an hour.
Transfers:
- Jaime Roth, part-time English Language Learner teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School, to a part-time kindergarten teacher and longterm substitute teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school term.
- Betsy Gaston, from a full-time music teacher at Salisbury Middle School to a full-time music teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School.
Retirements:
- Gary Bast, custodian at Harry S. Truman Elementary School, effective Sept. 1, 2012.
- Theodore Steinbrecher, music teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School, effective July 18, 2012.
