Second Man Charged in Salisbury Check Writing Scam

Robert Luis Rodriguez III of Allentown was arrested and charged with cashing two checks worth $740 using the bank routing number of District Judge Michael J. Pochron's office.

A second man has been arrested and charged with , according to a report in the Express-Times.

Robert Luis Rodriguez III, 21, of the 500 block of Park Street, Allentown, is charged with two counts each of felony forgery and two counts each of misdemeanor theft, receiving stolen property and bad checks, the report said.

Rodriguez is accused of cashing $740 worth of checks using the account number of , the court of District Judge Michael J. Pochron, on June 25 at Wal-marts in Bethlehem and Lower Nazareth townships, the report said.

Rodriguez was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Donna Butler and sent to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Aug. 14.

On July 30, , 21, of Allentown, was charged with cashing two fake checks totaling $661 against the judge's office. Pochron's office reported on July 11 that eight checks worth nearly $3,000 were written against its account.
