Tell Us: Which Storm Was the Worst?

Was Hurricane Sandy worse than Hurricane Irene and Snowtober 2011?

The Hurricane Sandy recovery continues in the Lehigh Valley as thousands of people are still stuck without power and damage is gradually repaired.

The same was true a year ago after a freak Halloween snowstorm caused lots of problems just two months after Hurricane Irene hit our area.

"Hundreds"? I think you mean "tens of thousands".

Last years snowtober was much worse for us on south mountain in emmaus! We were dodging falling branches and trees for days, had 8 huge trees down in yards, on houses and smashing garages and cars. Snow and ice to deal, cold temps and 8 days without power and 13 days without cable and phone. We lost hundreds in food, had variety of damages, and ultimately had water damage to circuit box and thousands in electrical, appliance and electronics damage. Hurricane Sandy was certainly scary, but we faired much better with only 2 neighborhood trees down, no snow and ice, mildly low temps and only 52 hours without power, cable and phone. Much less damage and clean up this time.
