Monday marks the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It is a federal holiday, however, many businesses throughout the Salisbury Township area will be open.
Here is a listing of what's open and closed on Martin Luther King Day:
- Salisbury Township municipal offices: Open.
- Garbage collection: Will take place.
- Salisbury Township School District: Closed.
- The Swain School: No classes will be held but the school will celebrate the third annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Day.
- St. Thomas More School: Closed
- Lehigh Christian Academy: Closed.
- Post Offices: Closed. There will be no mail delivery.
- Banks: Have the option to open. Many will close.
- N.Y. Stock Exchange: Closed.
- Retail: Most retail establishments, including South Mall, will be open.
- Allentown Pubic Library: Open normal hours.
