Police are investigating residential burglaries on the west and east sides of the township, according to a Salisbury Township Police Facebook post. The burglaries occurred during the day through windows or doors that are obscured from view, according to the post. "We are asking that you remain vigilant and observant of any suspicious activity in your area throughout the day," the police wrote.  No further details about the crimes were provided. Salisbury police are seeking the public's help in identifying two women in a debit card fraud investigation, according to a posting on the Salisbury Police Facebook page. More than $2,000 in fraudulent purchases were made with a stolen debit card in early February, police said. Anyone with information on the identities of the women shown in the photos released by police is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776. …
Several residents in an area of western Salisbury Township reported on Dec. 11 their vehicles were broken into overnight and items were stolen, according to Salisbury Township Police. A resident in the 2600 block of Colorado Street reported the front passenger side window of a vehicle was shattered and a purse and $100 were missing, police said. The purse was later found on Miller Street but the money was missing, police said. Vehicle damage estimated at $400.   Salisbury police said the following thefts and burglary were among those recently reported in the township: An aluminum extension ladder, valued at $536, from Lot 7 at Gilly's Mobile Home Park, 1414 E. Susquehanna St.; reported at 6 p.m. on Nov. 17. A mailbox post, valued at $50, from 2910 Meadowbrook Circle North; reported at 11:54 a.m. on Nov. 17. Xbox 360, valued at $500, and a laptop, valued at $2,500, from an apartment at Cedar Glen Apartments, 1168. S. Cedar Crest Blvd.; reported at noon on Nov. 15.
  Salisbury police said the following vehicle break-ins were reported on the east side of the township from Nov. 17 to Nov. 20: 1400 block of Salisbury Road, reported at 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 17 1500 block of Butz Lane, reported at 3:20 p.m. on Nov. 19. 2200 block of Dauphin Street, reported at 1 p.m. on Nov. 20. Police said mostly change was taken in the break-ins.
  Someone stole a 2008 Acura MDX parked in a driveway in the 2300 block of S. Filbert Street, Salisbury police said. The theft was reported at 12:06 p.m. on Nov. 18. The SUV was found the next day by Allentown police in a parking lot in Allentown. There were no signs of forced entry.
  More than $1,800 worth of bras were reported stolen from the Victoria's Secret store at the South Mall over two days. Salisbury police said a store manager reported the following: That 21 bras, valued at $1,277, were discovered stolen from a display drawer at the store at 6 p.m. on Nov. 17. That another 10 bras, vaued at $567, were discovered stolen from the same display drawer at 3:48 p.m. on Nov. 18.  The store manager uncovered the second theft when she was showing employees what had happened the previous day, police said.   A 74-year-old woman was struck by a LANTA bus on Nov. 14 in the parking lot of the South Mall and injured, according to Salisbury police. Patricia Wirth was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and treated for a concussion, scrapes and a head wound, police said. The accident, which happened at 11:25 a.m. near the Bon-Ton, is under investigation.  The bus driver's name was not disclosed.

A woman walking a child to a bus stop near Public Road and Weil Street in Eastern Salisbury was bitten by a neighbor's dog when the owner lost control of the leash, according to Salisbury Township Police. The incident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Aug. 27, police said. The police report did not say where on her body she was bitten, but the bite did not break the skin and she refused EMS treatment. Salisbury Township Animal Control Officer Charles Durner Jr. is investigating the incident and will check if the dog is up to date with its shots.

Salisbury Township Police with the assistance of officers from neighboring police departments arrested 13 motorists with driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint set up Aug. 10-11 in the 1600 block of Broadway in Salisbury, according to Officer Bryan Losagio. 652 vehicle/driver contacts were made. 13 DUI arrests. An empty purse was found Aug. 20 by joggers running past the Hope UCC Church, 1031 Flexer Ave.; police found receipt with owner's name inside and returned purse to owner. An Alburtis man was injured in an accident involving two cars early Monday on Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville. The crash occurred at about 2:50 a.m. when Victor S. Torres Texidor, 32, of Allentown, who was driving eastbound at about 65 mph in the middle lane near mile marker 55.3, changed lanes without clearance into the right lane, police said. Torres Texidor's car crashed into the front end of a car driven by Nevin D. Beson, 34, of Alburtis, who was traveling at about 55 mph in the right lane, police said. Beson's car, which had an …
Salisbury Township Police are investigating a resident's complaint that he was defrauded of $435 from a foreign cash advance Web site. The man told police when he sought a $1,500 loan from the site, he wired a $190 security deposit and $245 application fee to someone in India, police said. He contacted police June 18 after he still had not received the loan and was asked to send an additional $294.

The following information was provided by the Salisbury Township Police Department.    A resident reported he found a large, skinny brown female dog, possibly a Doberman who may be nursing, May 28 in the 1600 block of Tweed Avenue. The dog's tag says "Shasta" and lists a phone number that is disconnected.   Some children reported they found a brown pitbull on Jeter Avenue; police reported the dog was limping, had cuts on its head and "looked tired and worn out."
