Wednesday in Salisbury: Walk-in Wednesday and Family Night

Families Caring for Children Inc., will screen a film and the Salisbury High School tennis team starts its season.

Wednesday, Aug. 21 is expected to feature sunny skies with a high near 89 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Here's what's going on in and around Salisbury Township:

  • The Swain School, located at 1100 S. 24th Street in Salisbury Township, will hold a "Walk-In Wednesday," from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., so visitors can tour the facility. No appointment is needed.
  • Grace Community Church, located at 1290 Minesite Road in Allentown, will hold Family Night on Wednesday. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Activities are held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Families Caring for Children Inc., in partnership with Families with Children from China-Lehigh Valley chapter, will sponsor a showing of the documentary "Somewhere Between" on Wednesday at Weslyn United Methodist Church in Bethlehem. A viewing of the documentary will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church center, 2540 Center St., Bethlehem. A discussion facilitated by Jean Barney, of Families Caring for Children, will follow.
  • The Salisbury High School girls varsity tennis team begins its season Wednesday with a home match against Moravian Academy, beginning at 2 p.m. at Lindberg Park.
  • Entertaining Wednesday at the Molten Lounge at Sands Bethlehem is  DELEASA: Celebrity Night with DJ/MC Tom Taylor & The Velvet Crush Dancers. The show begins at 9:30 p.m.
