Law Firms Open Salisbury Office

Three firms – Hofmeister, Breza & Leavers (HBL), The Law Offices of James A. List, LLC, and Community Settlement Group (CSG) – jointly will be opening an Eastern Shore office in Salisbury.

Located at 212 West Main Street in the heart of Salisbury’s downtown district, the new office “will enable our firm, HBL, and CSG to better serve our clients and referral sources east of the Bay Bridge,” says James A. List, founder of The Law Offices of James A. List, LLC.

The law firm of Hofmeister, Breza & Leavers recently added The Law Offices of James A. List as “Of Counsel” to that firm.

The Law Offices of James A. List, LLC is a mid-Atlantic law firm serving business owners, families with developmentally disabled members, and individuals with real estate, estate planning, asset protection, and trust needs.

The addition of List’s knowledge and experience in corporate governance, estates and trusts planning, and fiduciary litigation will be a significant addition to HBL. HBL will now be able to expand its services to its banking clients’ to include trust transactions, and wealth management.

James List, who started his firm in 2008 after serving as a Partner at Baltimore’s Miles & Stockbridge, explains, “The Of Counsel designation will allow both law firms to remain independent, while sharing offices, technology, and, most importantly, personnel.”

While List’s current staff will continue to handle clients’ estate planning and litigation work, “we will now be able to call on HBL’s 25-member team, both to assist using our current work and to handle work outside our current scope of services.” The new arrangement also will enable List’s legal team to call on CSG to handle real estate matters for clients.
