Lehigh Valley Super Bowl 10K to Run Through Salisbury Streets

The Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners approved the Lehigh Valley Road Runners' request to hold a portion of the 2013 Super Bowl 10k race on Feb. 3 in the township.

A portion of the 12th annual Lehigh Valley Road Runners 10K Super Bowl Race on Feb. 3 will again weave through parts of Salisbury Township.

The Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners approved race director Chris Garges’ request for permission for his club’s use of the 2 1/2 miles that run through Salisbury.

The race begins and ends in the Lehigh Parkway at the Road Runners’ clubhouse on Park Drive. The course includes portions of Greenwood Road, Robin Hood Drive, Overhill Road, Nottingham Road, Bishop Road, Barnsdale Road, Yorkshire Road and Lehigh Parkway North.

Garges told township officials the race will begin 10 a.m. and last up to two hours.
