Wayne and Alayne Renninger's house has been named the Salisbury Township winner in Patch’s national .
Wayne Renninger, of 1240 S. Fairview Road in Salisbury Township, swore this would be the year he finally cut back on their annual over-the-top light display. His resolve didn't last long. He still had to climb a ladder numerous times, but this time he didn't outline the roof with lights.
The Renningers are one of 397 winners named from across the nation. Their winning entry has been forwarded to a national Patch judge, who will select 24 finalists Friday.
Each of the 24 finalists will receive $500 (to help pay their electric bill)!
Then, from Friday through Jan. 8, readers can vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch, which includes 22 states and the District of Columbia. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.
HOW TO VIEW AND VOTE: Starting Dec. 30, you can vote on one of the 24 finalists to help decide the National Grand Prize Winner and the schools that will receive $100,000! Simply go to http://deckthehouse.patch.com/entries, browse the entries and vote.
