Second Mosquito in Salisbury Tests Positive for West Nile Virus

The DEP and Lehigh County West Nile Virus staff are responding with additional surveillance and control to these reports.

A second mosquito tested positive for West Nile virus this week in Salisbury Township, according to data released Tuesday by the state Department of Environmental Protection.

There were a total of 22 new mosquitoes and one bird that tested positive for West Nile virus last week, according to the DEP.

The DEP and Lehigh County West Nile Virus staff are responding with additional surveillance and control to these reports.

Earlier this week, the DEP reported that West Nile Virus sickened a Montgomery County man.
