 Why go: Restaurant week always feels a little like Christmas. It’s a time when those of us with shallow pockets can indulge with three courses at some of the Valley’s poshest eateries. From Melt to White Orchid, from Pacifico to Kome, this mall has got it going on.

 Pricing: Most restaurants offer a prix fixes multi-course menu, ranging from $5 for lunch (Subway) to $39 for a dinner (Shula’s).

 2. STORY CABARET

 Where/When: Touchstone Theatre, 321 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, Friday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m.http://www.touchstone.org/

 Why go: It’s the Lehigh Valley’s version of the famed Moth in New York. The BYOSAW (bring your own story and wine) event will feature two local storytellers, Larry Sceurman and Mary Wright, who will share personal yarns on a selected theme. Then the floor will be opened to audience members who care to share their own ten-minute tales.

 3. TEQUILA AND TAPAS

 Where/When: Allentown Brew Works, 812 W. Hamilton St., Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.http://www.thebrewworks.com/bethlehem-brew-works/

 Why go: Tequila and tapas. C’mon, you need more of a reason? Sponsored by Tequila maker Patron, the event will feature four different kinds of tequila, from Reposado to XO Café, paired with Spanish bites. Chorizo, prosciutto and empanadas! Oh my.

 Pricing: $20 (plus tax) at the door

 4.  LORI MCKENNA

 Where/When:, Upper Milford Township Municipal Center, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville; 8 p.m. Saturday. www.listenlivemusic.org

 Why go: Opportunity to hear acclaimed country folk singer-songwriter, who toured with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw,  in a small venue. McKenna released her new album, "Lorraine," in January.

 5. VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM

 Where/When: Metropolitan Community Church, 930 N. Fourth St., Allentown. Feb. 24, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. http://rainbowplayers.mcclv.org

 Why go: This bizarre and hilarious comedy staged by The Rainbow Players (a GLBTQIA company) and written by Charles Busch is a cult favorite and a rousing way to spend an evening. The play begins in ancient Sodom, where a young girl is sacrificed to the dreaded Succubus, a gorgeous and immortal vampiress. Little does she know they will meet again, this time in Hollywood. (Told you. Bizarre.)
