In the new film "Kill Your Darlings," former "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe plays beat poet Allen Ginsberg -- and has steamy sex scenes with Emmaus-area actor Dane DeHaan's character Lucien Carr.
As HuffPost Executive Arts & Entertainment Editor Michael Hogan wrote in his dispatch from the Sundance Film Festival, "Plenty of male actors have passionately kissed male co-stars in films, as Radcliffe and the excellent Dane DeHaan do here, but it's hard to recall a Hollywood star as famous as this one simulating the act of homosexual lovemaking this explicitly -- knees in the air, lover on top of him -- or this vulnerably."
DeHaan had a cameo in the historic blockbuster, "Lincoln." Next Movie lists DeHaan as one of "13 Awesome Dudes You Didn't Know Were in Lincoln."
Dane DeHaan was born in Allentown and raised in Zionsville near Emmaus, according to a Morning Call report, which says DeHaan's "Lincoln" cameo comes early in the film as a Union soldier. DeHaan graduated from Emmaus High School, according to Wikipedia.
DeHaan is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He now lives in Los Angeles.
He starred in the movie "Chronicle" this year and is most known for his portrayal of Jesse on HBO's critically acclaimed drama series "In Treatment."
