Important Dates to Know at Harry S. Truman Elementary School

Parents of children attending Harry S. Truman Elementary School should take note of these important dates for the first day of school and beyond.

The calendar still says August, but we all know that we're in the middle of back-to-school time. Back-to-school shopping may be in full swing, but Salisbury parents should save the dates for these important school events:

Harry S. Truman Elementary School:

Bus runs will begin on orientation day. A classroom teacher will be riding each bus and will greet your child as he or she enters the bus. A teacher will also accompany the children on the ride home. Parents of the kindergarten children will have a half hour informational session at 9:30 for AM Kindergarten and 1:30 for Kindergarten.

Tuesday, August 27: School is in session for students in grades Kindergarten through fifth-grade. The school day will be conducted each day from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Kindergarten sessions: 8:45 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. and 12:20 to 3:15 p.m. It is most important that no child arrives to school before 8:30 a.m., as there is no adult supervision until that time.
