Bolete to Compete Sunday in Chili Cook-Off

Local Salisbury restaurant will be among 25 local contenders to see who makes the best chili in the Lehigh Valley.

Hours before the kick-off Sunday in Indianapolis, 25 restaurants will meet in Easton for their own Super Bowl of sorts. Salisbury's acclaimed will be among the competitors.

For the last 17 years, has hosted , challenging area chefs to bring their best chili recipe.

Don't come expecting a tough man contest for the tongue. Most chefs worry more about flavor than heat.

Do expect to wait in line for awhile; this event -- which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- usually draws a lot of people. There's a $5 donation to sample the different chilis. Proceeds this year go to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare in Williams Township.
