A - Opened Oct. 16 – franchise has been open about 12 years.

A – 10.


Q – What is your specialty?

A – Massage and Facials.


Q – What or who is your biggest competitor and how do you provide better services/products?

A – We really do not compete with the typical Day Spa – our business is based on a Wellness model that stresses the benefits of Massage and Facials to ones well-being.


Q – What is your mission statement or philosophy behind running your business?

A - The Massage Envy corporate mission is: To provide a pathway to wellness, well-being, and worth through professional, convenient, and affordable massage therapy and spa services.


Q – Can you share a story about your business? A triumph or obstacle you’ve overcome, perhaps?

A - This business is the culmination of 10 years of dreaming about being a small business owner of a business that helps people. I believe that massage therapy plays an important part in taking care of one’s self and this business allows people to take advantage of the benefits at an affordable price. I was a member for three years prior to seeing that I would really enjoy running a franchise.


Q - Can you share your annual revenue?

A - still TBD


Q – Is there a history regarding your business you’d like to share?

A - Massage Envy Spa Allentown is one of about 900 Massage Envys around the country and services are reciprocal so you can use your membership all over the country.  Massage Envy was started by a former gym owner who really believed in health and wellness and it has grown at a really fantastic rate over the last 10 years.


Q – What are your plans for the future?

A -  We hope to make this center the #1 spot for therapeutic massage and facial services in the Lehigh Valley.


Q - Do you have more than one location?

A -  Not currently.


Q – Is this a family-owned/operated business?

A - It is an independent family-owned business that is part of a national franchise.


Q – Is this a chain or franchise?

A - Yes.


Q - Did you receive any type of special funding to start up your business?

A - SBA and personal savings.
