Escape To Clover Hill Winery

Drop the laundry and escape to Breinigsville winery for wine tasting class

There’s just something about a good glass of wine that transports you. Toys can be scattered at your feet and laundry may be waiting to be folded, but close your eyes, take a sip of a full-bodied Bordeaux and you can just start to feel the breeze coming off the Seine.

OK, Paris may be a little far for a day trip, but luckily the Lehigh Valley has its own share of wineries that’ll help you reach that happy place. This Saturday grab your man or your favorite girlfriend and head over to the Clover Hill Winery for their 90-minute wine-tasting class. You’ll not only get to sample five to six of their homegrown creations, but the staff will teach you about the complexities of each bottle – what you’re tasting and how to describe it.

Your new skills will really come in handy next time you’re at a wine-and-cheese soiree, or, more likely when you’re sending your husband out for an emergency bottle:  “Honey? Can you get me a Merlot with nice legs and a sweet finish?”
