Lehigh Valley Hospital Scores High Marks From National Group
The Joint Commission, an independent national accrediting agency, said LVH performed well in 22 patient outcomes, report says.
Lehigh Valley Health Network's three hospitals in Salisbury Township, Allentown and Bethlehem was among the top 14 percent of hospitals that report core performance data to an influential national accrediting agency, according to The Morning Call.
The Joint Commission, an independent agency that accredits more than 10,000 hospitals and home care facilities nationwide, issued an annual report that said LVH was among three area health centers that scored high in 22 patient outcomes for illnesses isuch as heart attacks and pneumonia.
LVH was among 11 hospitals in the state got high marks in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
