Local Businesses Accept 'Toys for Tots'

Several Salisbury Township businesses and schools are drop-off sites for the Toys for Tots program administered by the U.S. Marine Corps.

This holiday season will likely be another difficult one for many Lehigh Valley families facing economic uncertainty, but thanks to the efforts of the U.S. Marine Corps and local Toys for Tots volunteers, the children in those families won't know what it's like to feel forgotten by Santa Claus.

The Marines' annual toy drive--which distributes millions of toys to kids nationwide--is currently in full swing, with drop-off points for donated presents set up at dozens of businesses throughout the area.

Here in Salisbury Township, residents who want to help make a child's holiday a little brighter can leave a toy at one of the following locations:

Giant Food Stores has announced that it is partnering with the Toys for Tots program to collect toys at Giant supermarkets from Nov. 20 through Dec. 10. Collection boxes will be located near the customer service desks in the stores.

Donated toys should be new and unwrapped.

The businesses listed above are all accepting toys for distribution to local children in need through Nov. 30, according to the website.
