Greetings and Welcome to My New Blog!

My Journey So Far...

As many readers may know, I was recently elected to the Salisbury Township School Board. I would first like to thank all of the Salisbury residents who voted for me for their confidence in my qualifications and ability to serve as a school director.
Since many readers do not know me personally, I would like to use my first post to give a summary of where I come from and how I came to Salisbury. I was born in New Jersey and grew up in the small town of Bayville, which is just south of Toms River. I graduated high school and attended The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey while still living at home and working nights to pay for my tuition. I was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. After college, I moved to Newark Delaware and was awarded a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Delaware. While in Delaware, I was married to my wife Donna (who was also my prom date, believe it or not). After our time in Delaware, we began our family and spent one year in Secaucus, NJ while I was working in Manhattan, one year in Lincoln, Nebraska, and a few years in Maple Shade, NJ. Needless to say, we moved around a lot. When the time came for me and my family to lay down some roots, we made the decision to do so in Salisbury Township.
After receiving a job offer at a diagnostic company in Bethlehem, we began searching in the Lehigh Valley for a home. After much research about the area, we decided to find a home in Salisbury Township. The main factors that influenced our decision were the reputation of the schools and the cost of living.  I have now been a resident for four years and my family and I could not be happier.
Now you have a better idea of where I came from. I hope to serve our district well and look forward to working with my fellow board members and the STSD administration to keep the quality of our district high. I hope you enjoyed my first post and I look forward to writing more.
