Deep Freeze All Week in Salisbury, Snow on Friday

Daytime highs will be well below freezing all week in Salisbury Township, while the National Weather Service also calls for the potential for "plowable snowfall" on Friday.

An arctic air mass is bringing Salisbury Township and the rest of the Lehigh Valley the longest period of cold weather it has seen in two years.

There's snow in the forecast along with a big chill that will keep daytime high temperatures from rising out of the 20s for the rest of the week. The daytime high temperature is not expected to go above the freezing mark until Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Today is the most frigid day in the forecast, as the high temperature is expected to be 20 degrees with a wind chill factor that will make it feel like less than zero. Tonight's low, like Tuesday's, is expected to be in the single digits.

Friday's forecast is calling for a low pressure system that has the potential to bring "plowable snowfall" to the region, though the weather service said it is too early to forecast a specific snowfall amount.
