Lottery Ticket Worth More Than $365,000 Sold in Hellertown

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Friday that one jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket from the July 7 drawing was sold at 7-Eleven on Main Street in Hellertown.

One lucky Pennsylvania Lottery player made a pit stop at in Hellertown to purchase a Cash 5 ticket and went on to become the winner of a jackpot prize worth more than $365,000, the state lottery confirmed Friday.

In a press release posted on the Pennsylvania Lottery's website, it was announced that the winning ticket purchased in the borough correctly matched all five balls drawn in the July 7 Cash 5 drawing in Harrisburg. The five numbers drawn were 05, 18, 24, 40 and 43, according to the website.

The winner of the jackpot has one year to claim the prize, which totals $365,398 and will be subject to 25 percent federal withholding.

The retailer who sold the ticket will also receive a $500 bonus, the lottery said.

According to the news release, "the Lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery's seven area offices."

"Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices," the Lottery said.

The lottery's Area 7 Lehigh Valley district office is located at 44 E. Broad St. in Bethlehem.

Lottery officials said in the release that they cannot confirm the identity of the jackpot winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket validated.
