Region Under Another Flood Watch With Heavy Rain

2 to 3 1/2 inches expected Thursday and Friday

The bad news: Lehigh and Northampton Counties are again under a flood watch issued by the National Weather Service for Thursday morning through Friday morning. Rain will begin falling later today. We could get doused with two to three and a half inches before the storm ends Friday.

The good news: forecasters expect the weekend to be partly sunny with high temperatures around 50.

There’s a flood risk for low-lying areas, small creeks and streams and the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers. The Delaware topped flood stage in Easton on Monday but didn’t flow high enough to cause serious problems.
