Winter Storm Nemo: How Much Snow Will We Get?

Salisbury is bracing for Winter Storm Nemo, which could bring six to 10 inches of snow today into Saturday morning

A major winter storm will hit the Northeast and New England today into Saturday and Salisbury could get six to 10 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The worst of the storm will hit tonight with heavy blowing snow expected.

  • Today: Rain, snow, and sleet before 1 p.m., then rain between 1 and 2 p.m., then snow after 2 p.m. with one to three inches possible. High near 36.
  • Tonight: Snow, mainly before 4 a.m., could be heavy at times with three to seven inches possible. Low around 26.

The National Weather Service says:

"As much as one to two feet of snow is forecast from the New York City metro area to Maine, with localized heavier amounts possible. This, in addition to wind gusts as high as 60-75 mph will create significant impacts to transportation and power. Coastal flooding is also possible from Boston northward."

WFMZ is also forecasting six or more inches of snow for Salisbury and areas east. A foot or more of snow will probably fall in the Poconos to the delight of ski resorts and skiers.
