Winter Storm to Hit Salisbury Friday

A winter storm will make Friday messy in Salisbury Township, but the worst of it will hit New England.

The National Weather Service says a winter storm will bring snow, sleet and rain to Salisbury Friday into early Saturday morning.

The major impact will be in New England where a nor'easter-type storm could bring blizzard conditions and a foot of snow.

The National Weather Service predicts about 6 to 12 inches of snow to fall here; WFMZ predicts 3 to 6 inches for the Lehigh Valley.

Snow is expected to fall before 8 a.m., followed by a brief period of rain and snow and then more snow, for a total accumulation between 2 to 4 inches on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow will continue late Friday night in Saturday, and could be heavy at times. Low temperatures around 23. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Saturday will be cold and blustery, with a high near 31.
