The New Bridge Group presents their group art exhibition entitled, “Out of the Blue.” Members of the group are artists from throughout the Lehigh Valley who participate in group shows three times per year. For this exhibition, artists were asked to creatively interpret the theme, “Out of Blue,” through their various mediums, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, book arts, and encaustics.
An opening reception will be on Saturday, January 26 from 7:00-10:00pm, featuring the music of pianist Tom Bisko. Admission is free of charge to the public.
An Open Mic event will be on Thursday, January 31 from 7:00-10:00pm hosted by Matt Wolf and Cleveland Wall. Admission is free of charge to the public. So bring you favorite poem, prose, comedy routine or acoustic performance, and enjoy performing surrounded by the “Out of the Blue” artwork.
A closing reception and poetry reading will be on Saturday, February 9 from 2:00-5:00pm, featuring poets Cleveland Wall, Danielle Notaro, Grant Clauser, Sandra Becker, Patricia Goodrich, Yodi, and Nancy Scott. Admission is free of charge to the public.
The New Bridge Group was formed to showcase new and exciting artwork not seen in the Valley before. Artist-members meet regularly to plan at least three exhibitions per year and collaboratively decide on themes and venues for the exhibitions. Shows are held at various venues such as Antonio Salemme Foundation, Allentown Art Museum, and later this year, at Moravian College. The New Bridge Group welcomes new members, including art students who wish to begin exhibiting their artwork in professional settings.
