KidsPeace welcomes Drs. Benjamin Wowo, Welda Duque

KidsPeace is pleased to welcome two new doctors to our staff. Dr. Benjamin Wowo and Dr. Welda Duque, both child and adolescent psychiatrists, started work July 16, with primary assignment in the residential units on our Orchard Hills campus in North Whitehall Township.

Wowo’s previous work experience includes psychiatry at SUNY – Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn and resident physician at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center New York.  He was also the director of program, planning and analysis at Harlem Hospital Center. 

Wowo is board certified in psychiatry with medical licensure in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and New York. He graduated from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, La., with a master’s in public health and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Enugu Campus, with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery.      

Duque’s previous employment includes St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem as an attending physician/assistant professor; medical director for Centennial School, Lehigh University; inpatient physician for Kings County Hospital and SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn as a clinical assistant professor.

Duque is licensed in New York and Pennsylvania and is board eligible. She graduated from Far Eastern University, Manila, with a doctorate in medicine and the University of the Philippines, Manila, with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
