Obituary: Gary R. Snyder of Salisbury

Gary R. Snyder, 72, of Salisbury Twp., passed away in his home on August 1, 2012. He was the husband of Sharon M. (Bieber) Snyder and they would have been married for 35 years on September 17th. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Earle L. and Viola (Smith) Snyder. Gary was a 1958 graduate of Allentown High School. He was last employed at Total Imaging, Emmaus, until his retirement. He was previously employed at O.K. Printing Co., Allentown, for over 35 years. He was a member of St. John’s UCC Church, Emmaus, and a former member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church where he served as a council member, lay minister and Sunday School teacher. Gary’s passions in life were his family and friends and his beloved canine companion, Sadie.
 
SURVIVORS: Wife; Daughters, Lauren wife of Jason Engler, Sr., and Melissa Snyder; Grandchildren, Jason, Tyler, Christian and Eden; Sister-in-law, Lorene Snyder; Many nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his brothers, Richard, Robert, George, Earle, Larry, Donald and Leland, his niece, Debra Nail, and his nephews, Douglas and Jay Snyder.
 
SERVICES: Saturday, August 11th at 11 AM at St. John’s UCC Church, 139 N. 4th Street, Emmaus. Viewings will be held Friday 7-9 PM at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus, and Saturday 9:30-11 AM in the church. Interment will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus.
