Another Alligator Found in Bethlehem

Bethlehem police pulled a 3.5-foot long alligator from Monocacy Creek.

Bethlehem Police caught an alligator Monday, May 30, swimming in the Monocacy at Illick's Mill Park, according to a press release.

The police were called to the park when the reptile was seen going over the waterfalls. After a 45-to-55-minute chase, officer Eric Yeakel was able to snare the gator and pull it out of the water.

A reptile expert identified the 3-to-3.5-foot long specimen as an alligator. It was taken to a facility in Saylorsburg "for rehabilitation" the release states.
