Lehigh Valley Health Network was able to locate one of the vehicle's owners, who said the package did not belong to her.

Police said there was a second report of a "suspicious" man in the area. A man was located but was not involved in the package incident.

With authorities unable to verify where the package came from, the Allentown Bomb Squad was notified. Bomb technicians detonated the bag, and the subsequent probe found that personal belongings were inside it.

Also responding were the Western Salisbury Fire Department and Lehigh Valley Health Network Emergency Management Department.

Salisbury Township police said in its release that it continues a strong working relationship with Lehigh Valley Hospital Network. All incidents take high priority by both entities "to protect the health, safety and welfare of all patients, staff and visitors" to the township and hospital, police said.
