Cheerleader Falsely Suspected of Giving Pot Brownies To Football Player

Salisbury Township Police investigate after a box of chocolate chip cookies given to a football player was rumored to contain pot brownies.

Salisbury Township Police investigated a report that a Salisbury High School cheerleader gave one of the football players a package of pot brownies during a game.

Turns out they were just chocolate chip cookies, police said.

The cheerleading coach and the student's parent identified the contents after police made several inquiries.

The rumor spread Sept. 28 after someone reported one of the players said he was hungry during the game and a cheerleader wanted to give him a package that supposedly contained pot brownies, police said.
