Coopersburg Home Surrounded, Alleged Bank Robber Inside

According to a breaking news alert from police, officers from Bucks and Lehigh counties converged on a Coopersburg home in a residential neighborhood after bank robbery suspect flees inside.

An article in the Morning Call states that the SWAT team pulled out of the Coopersburg area after a robot released into a home at 4163 Farimount Ave. in Coopersburg turned up nothing. Police continue to search the area for the suspect.

According to multiple sources, the SWAT team called out to Coopersburg to aid in a standoff between police and a bank robbery suspect has pulled back. Police continue to patrol the area. Upper saucon Patch is working to bring you more on this story.

WFMZ is reporting that a SWAT team has arrived on the scene. The male suspect allegedly robbed the TD Bank in Quakertown around 8:30 this evening with a handgun. 

Early scanner reports said the suspect was a white male with a fake blond beard wearing a skullcap and a shirt with a Panthers logo. 

UPDATE: 9:30 p.m.

Upper Saucon Patch readers report that police have surrounded the home at 4163 Farimount Ave. in Coopersburg. Some readers report police using a bullhorn to draw the alleged bank robber out of the home he entered earlier this evening.

According to a breaking news alert, police from multiple counties have converged on a Coopersburg residence after a bank robbery suspect fled inside. 

According to the alert, police believe that a white male matching the description of a Quakertown bank robber fled from a dark-colored Cadillac into a home at 4163 Fairmount St. in Coopersburg. Police from Bucks and Lehigh counties have surrounded the home.
