Dead Whitehall Woman Missing Since July 4, Family Says

last Facebook entry was by mobile phone on July 4, the day her family members say she went missing. The entry read:" HAppy 4th of July ♥...Goodnight and sweet dreams."

Cardona, 20, of 836 Fernhill Lane, Whitehall, was her body dumped on a remote wooded area in the 2700 block of Lanze Lane in Salisbury Township. She died of blunt and sharp force trauma to the body, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's office, which has ruled her death a homicide.

The coroner office said "the incident occurred after 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 4."  Entries on Cardona's Facebook site indicate family members were concerned about her whereabouts after 1 p.m. July 4 and were seeking information:

"My name is Annette. I, myself and my fiance Jerry Cardona. Along with my Mother-In-Law are looking for my Sister-In-Law Kimberly Cardona. If you seen her please let us know. We just really need to know if she is ok. She doesn't have to come home, all she needs to do is call her brother or me and let us know she's alright."

Another entry: "If anyone has any information as to where Kimberly Cardona was from July 4 @ 1pm to midnight. Please leave me a message stating where you and her were, at what time, how long, and what or where she went after. This information will not be given to no one else I give my word. We just need to know what happened. Thank you, Cardona Family and Mother."

When family and friends learned that Cardona had been killed, they posted condolences on their Facebook pages:

"Thank you all for your prayers, but I guess they weren't heard this time. My sister-in-law was taken by a sick twisted person.:'( I know now she is in a better place looking down on her little Oceanus. We will miss you so much Kimberly. You will never be forgotten. We love you dearly. May you rest in paradise baby girl!!!!"

"I miss you so much Kimmy. Know the your nephew, Oceanus will forever know you. Your stories will be told forever and on!! Miss you my dear sister-in-law!!!
Well always love you..."

"Im gonna miss you kimmy you were one of the sweetest people ive ever met i can't understand how someone could do this to you rip you were a great friend"

"Im in full regret of all. Da time we missed out on.....now shes gone.....this is def a wake up call.....things wont b Da same...i Hope for Da best for Da fam at this point"
