Dog Bites Woman Escorting Child to Bus Stop

The Salisbury Township Animal Control Officer is investigating a recent report of a woman who was bitten by a dog after its owner lost control of its leash.

A woman walking a child to a bus stop near Public Road and Weil Street in Eastern Salisbury was bitten by a neighbor's dog when the owner lost control of the leash, according to .

The incident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Aug. 27, police said.

The police report did not say where on her body she was bitten, but the bite did not break the skin and she refused EMS treatment.

Salisbury Township Animal Control Officer Charles Durner Jr. is investigating the incident and will check if the dog is up to date with its shots.
