Dog Bites Woman Escorting Child to Bus Stop

The Salisbury Township Animal Control Officer is investigating a recent report of a woman who was bitten by a dog after its owner lost control of its leash.

A woman walking a child to a bus stop near Public Road and Weil Street in Eastern Salisbury was bitten by a neighbor's dog when the owner lost control of the leash, according to .

The incident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Aug. 27, police said.

The police report did not say where on her body she was bitten, but the bite did not break the skin and she refused EMS treatment.
