Driver in Lehigh Christian Academy Bus Crash Headed to Trial

Scott Michael Haas, who is accused of having drugs in his system when his car collided with a school bus carrying students to Lehigh Christian Academy in March, waived his preliminary hearing, WFMZ reports.

An Orefield man waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges that he was driving under the influence when he collided with a Parkland School bus on March 1 in the 200 block of S. Cedar Crest Boulevard, according to WFMZ Channel 69.

of Blue Sky Drive allegedly had the prescription drugs methadone and lorazepam in his system at the time of the , according to reports.

The Parkland bus, which was traveling south on Cedar Crest Boulevard near Cedar Crest College in South Whitehall, was carrying four students to in Salisbury Township. It toppled to its side in the crash.
