Eastern Salisbury Fire Station Gets A New Fire Alarm System

Firehouse has the equipment to put out a fire, just needs a fire alarm

The Eastern Salisbury Fire Station will soon get an important piece of new equipment. Hint: it's not a fire truck, although that's on its wish list.

A new fire alarm system will be installed in the brick building on Emmaus Avenue. The township received several bids for a fire alarm system and awarded a contract to low bidder G-C Electrical Co. of 705 E. Rock Road, Salisbury Township, for $9,670 at the March 24 board of commissioners meeting.

Commissioner James Seagreaves said the old system in the fire station had to be disconnected.
