Five Charged in Burglary Spree, DA Says

Two of the burglarized homes were in Salisbury Township. A total of $83,000 in items were taken in more than 24 robberies, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.

The Lehigh County district attorney's office has charged five men in a string of residential burglaries and attempted burglaries, two of which occurred in Salisbury Township.

The alleged Salisbury Township burglaries took place at 1412 E. Susquehanna St. on Dec. 12, 2012 and at 445 E. Lynnwood St. on Jan. 30, 2013, according to the district attorney's office.

Charged are Jean Carlos Irizarry Rodriguez, 22, and Anthony Rodriguez-Pagan, 18, both formerly of 417 ½ W. Tilghman St., Allentown; Hiram Rodriguez Jr., 23, formerly of 1910 Gatewood Lane, Bethlehem; Anthony Richard Machado, 23, no known address, and Kyle Medina, 18, of 918 Main St., apartment 6, Bethlehem.

Irizarry Rodriguez and Machado are in Lancaster County Prison.

Rodriguez-Pagan and Rodriguez Jr. are in Lehigh County Prison.

The five men are charged with more than 24 burglaries and attempted burglaries in Allentown, Bethlehem and Whitehall, in addition to Salisbury Township, according to the district attorney's office. The crimes took place between Dec., 2013 and May 2013.

The men are charged with stealing computers, televisions, cell phones, cash and coins, video games, gaming systems and accessories, handguns and ammunition and jewelry. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at approximately $83,000, according to the district attorney's office.
