Assault in Bethlehem leads police to recover gun stolen from Salisbury Township home.

Police say they recovered a gun stolen from a Salisbury Township home as part of two arrests made in Bethlehem this week.

Bethlehem police were called to Fillmore Street for a report of a man with a gun on Monday.

Police arrested two men, according to court records:

  • Francisco Sanchez, 46, was charged with aggravated assault for pointing a gun at Doriel Ramirez-Castro.
  • Ramirez-Castro, 22, was charged with simple assault for hitting a woman and dragging her from his car.

Both men are in Northampton County jail.

Two residents saw Sanchez with a gun and police found the weapon wedged between in fence on East Third Street, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report.

The gun had been stolen from a Salisbury Township home, according to a post on the Salisbury Police Department's Facebook Page. Police did not say when the gun was stolen.
