State police asks anyone with information to call them at 610-395-1438

By Jack Tobias

A man inside the Bieber Bus Terminal in Wescosville Tuesday morning defied a gunman's demand for money, and the gunman hit him with the gun's handle before fleeing in a vehicle without taking any money, police said.

State police at Fogelsville said the victim is from Kutztown, but it does not say if he is a Bieber employee or a customer. The incident occurred at 11:12 a.m.

Witnesses described the gunman as being between 20 and 40 years old with a thin build, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a blue or black scarf.

Police said the gunman entered the terminal at 4440 Hamilton Blvd., demanded money from the man, displayed the gun and threatened the man.

When the man refused to hand over money, the gunman hit him with the weapon's handle. Police did not specify the kind of gun or if he hit the man on his head or elsewhere on his body.

Police said that after hitting the man, the gunman ran to the rear of the Bieber property, got into an unidentified vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction.

State police asks anyone with information call them at 610-395-1438.
