Missing Lower Macungie Woman Found Shot To Death In Trexler Nature Preserve

Jennifer Snyder, 27, died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide, Lehigh County coroner said.

The Lower Macungie Township woman missing since Wednesday was found dead Friday in a wooded area off Game Preserve Road in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim said Saturday.

Jennifer Snyder, 27, of 862 Kressler Road, died of multiple gunshot wounds, said Grim, who conducted an autopsy Saturday morning. Her death has been ruled a homicide, he said. 

Snyder's body was found about a mile off Route 309  in the 4900 block of Game Preserve Road, near the Lehigh Valley Zoo in the Trexler Nature Preserve, Grim said.

Snyder had been missing since 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, said state police in Bethlehem, who described her as "endangered"  in a press release. She was last seen alive in the vicinity of her home on Kressler Road, police said.

State police and the Lehigh County District Attorney's office are continuing the investigation.
