Police Blotter: Hypodermic Needle and Spoon Found Near Green Acres Park

Drugs: A resident reported finding a hypodermic needle, spoon, cotton swabs and several small plastic bags in the 2700 block of Green Acres Drive on Dec. 9, police said. Officers disposed of the drug paraphernalia.

Vandalism: A business in the 1700 block of Broadway reported on Dec. 13 it had been egged again overnight.

Theft: A business owner in the 800 block of Public Road reported on Dec. 13 the outgoing mail placed in his mailbox may have been stolen because the recipient never received the checks.

Burglary: A resident in the 1400 block of E. Susquehanna Street reported the following items missing on Dec. 12: a 42-inch flat-screen TV, Dell laptop, LG soundbar and three pairs of sneakers.

Suspicious Vehicle: A caller reported an empty 2007 black Toyota pickup truck parked in the 1000 block of Dodson Street with its door open on Dec. 11, police said. An officer arrived and closed the door.

Attempted Burglary: A resident in the 300 block of E. Mountain Road reported a side window was discovered open after a burglar alarm sounded on Dec. 11, police said.

Disturbance: A Salisbury High School student was suspended for a day after he would not pick up empty packets of butter he popped in the cafeteria on Dec. 10, police said.

Theft from Vehicle: The owner of a 2011 Ford pickup truck reported a lighted tow hitch was removed from the truck while it was parked outside the Ross store at South Mall on Dec. 7, police said; $50 estimated value.
