Police Blotter: Thefts and Attempted Thefts from Vehicles

Theft from vehicle: Pennsylvania registration plate and sticker reported stolen April 17 from two vehicles parked in 1400 block of E. Susquehanna Street.

Citation issued April 15 to Michael Sickonic, 30, 930 Hawthorn Road; for damage to unattended vehicle. Resident reported mailbox and tree struck in the 1000 block of Hawthorn Road sometime overnight. Police retrieved front-end grille of a Mazda in the street and a broken hubcap in the yard that matched Sickonic's tan Mazda.

Pedestrian hit: Shun Zheng, 62, of Brooklyn, NY, was struck and injured April 12 by a car when he ran across 3300 Lehigh Street, police said. Zheng was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Theft: About $30,000 in jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 1200 block of E. Emmaus Avenue in early April, police said.

Vehicle theft: A 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix was reported stolen April 4 from Affinity Used Cars in the 3100 block of Lehigh Street, police said.

Attempted theft from vehicle: Contents of vehicle reported strewn in interior of vehicle parked April 5 in 2800 block of Kingsbridge Lane, police said.

Theft from vehicle: Coach purse and wallet reported stolen from vehicle parked April 5 in 2900 block of Greenbriar Lane, police said; $500 estimated value.

Theft from vehicle: Temporary license plate reported stolen April 6 from vehicle parked at Affinity Used Cars, police said.
