Retired Salisbury K-9 Officer Zeus Dies, Police Say
Salisbury Township Police are mourning the death of K-9 officer Zeus, who served the township from 2003 through 2010.
The Salisbury Township Police Department is mourning the death of retired K-9 officer Zeus, who served the township for seven years.
Salisbury Police wrote the following on its Facebook page:
"It is with a heavy heart that we have to report the loss of retired K-9 Zeus from the Salisbury Police Department. Zeus served the Township of Salisbury from 2003-2010 tracking numerous suspects, found countless amounts of drugs, and conducted many school and public presentations in the Township. Our condolences are with Officer Jason Laky who was his handler during his working years and caretaker after his retirement in 2010."
Close to 60 comments were made on the police department's Facebook page, offering condolences to the department and Officer Laky.
