Salisbury Police: Bon-Ton Shoplifter Stuffed Clothing Down His Pants

The following information was provided by the Salisbury Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Salisbury Township Police said a man tried to shoplift several articles of clothing from The Bon-Ton at South Mall by stuffing them down his pants.

Caprice Brown, 34, of an unknown address, was charged with retail theft, possession of marijuana and possession of an instrument of crime on Dec. 10, police said.

Security at The Bon-Ton said they saw Brown enter a dressing room with multiple articles of clothing but emerge with one item, police said. Officers apprehended Brown as he left the store and he admitted he stuffed the items down his pants, police said. Police detected an odor of marijuana and found a small amount of what appeared to be marijuana and a pair of pliers that Brown allegedly used to cut the security tags off the clothing.

Brown was taken to Central Booking where he was processed, police said.
