Salisbury Police Officer To Be Suspended Without Pay
Salisbury commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to suspend Officer Jason Laky for neglect and violation of official duties and conduct unbecoming an officer.
Officer Jason Laky, a 14-year veteran of the department, will be suspended for two days without pay by the board of commissioners on charges of neglect and violation of official duties and conduct unbecoming an officer.
The five commissioners voted unanimously to suspend Laky after discussing the matter in an executive session during their board meeting Thursday night. The charges will be filed with the civil service commission and Laky has 30 days to appeal the suspension, Township Manager Randy Soriano said.
Salisbury Police Chief Allen Stiles said it was one incident in February that led to the charges against Laky, but he would not elaborate.
