Salisbury School District Employee Arrested for Theft

Stephen Veszpremi, 23, of Allentown, a part-time custodian, was arrested on numerous counts of theft at Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School, according to police.

A Salisbury Township School District employee was arrested and charged with numerous counts of theft at the high school and according to a news release issued Monday by the Salisbury Township Police Department.

Stephen Veszpremi, 23, of Allentown, a part-time custodian, was arrested on numerous counts of theft and associated charges stemming from incidents at both schools, according to police.

After a monthlong investigation that included surveillance, Veszpremi was caught during a theft, according to the release.

Veszpremi is accused of taking an iPod, cash and food valued at about $1,000, police said.

"The Salisbury Township Police Department, along with the Salisbury Township School District, maintains that the health, safety, and welfare of students and staff come first. This coordinated investigation shows the strong working relationship between both organizations, and the ongoing steps both have made to reduce crime inside the school setting. This investigation reaffirms that theft will not be tolerated at any level within the Salisbury Township School District."
