State Police Use Plane to Snare Speeders on I-78

State police from Fogelsville cited seven drivers for speeding in Salisbury Township.

Pennsylvania State troopers from the Fogelsville station used a fixed-winged plane Tuesday morning to observe and clock vehicles for speeding on the stretch of Interstate 78 that runs through Salisbury Township, according to a news release.

Seven vehicles were clocked, resulting in traffic citations for speeding, including one motorist for driving at 91 mph, and another for driving with an expired license, police said. State police said they will continue with the periodic use of the program to cut down on aggressive driving and reduce accidents on I-78.
